Piper Is ONE! Bloomingdale Family Photographer
I am so excited to take a few minutes and share this sweet session! I first met this family during the 2019 holiday season. When they reached out this spring asking me to photograph little Miss Piper to celebrate her first birthday, I jumped at the chance to see them again.
We all know that March/April/May were not easy months for anyone. It seems we blinked and life as we know it changed in an instant. I was unable to take photo sessions for over 2 months, and many others were out of work. Daycares were closed, hospitals were packed, and life was just different. When I took my first outdoor shoot after the lockdown, I quickly realized that so much had changed, but also so much had NOT changed. There was still love to be captured and photographs to be made. Children were still growing like weeds and families were evolving through milestones, just as they always have.
After what feels like endless winter cold weather, I think it’s safe to say warm weather is finally here in Chicagoland. The flowers are blooming and the golden sun is shining. This year more than ever, I will appreciate each and every opportunity to photograph families in their element. We never know what the future will bring, however, with treasured photographs, we will have something to look back on and remember these sweet moments, regardless of what is happening in the world around us!
