Let’s talk light. Some photographers love studio light. Studio light is controlled, can be manipulated, and it’s consistent. Some photographers prefer outdoor light. It’s challenging, and timing and positioning are everything. I personally love both. I love the challenge that each light brings and the variety I can achieve through my photography by mastering both styles of light.
This session was amazing for a multitude of reasons. It’s easy as a photographer to loose track of time. It seems each year goes faster than the last, when you see 100+ families each year. I feel like I can blink and a one year old is suddenly five.
I had to stop for a moment when this family arrived with their gorgeous big girl. She is just as beautiful as I remember. We went where the night took us. I felt like the setting kept pulling us in, and we couldn’t stop shooting. It was beyond magical.
