Chicago Maternity Photographer – The Surrogacy Story

It takes a village to raise a child, and sometimes, it takes a village to have a child.

This gorgeous woman is carrying a baby that isn’t hers so that this couple can experience parenthood. I’ve had the joy of witnessing this journey from Day 1. As a surrogate, she has experienced all of the aches, pains and sleepless nights that pregnancy brings. I’ve watched her selflessly love and care for this child as if it were her own. This child has been treasured by these three from the very beginning.

During this session, it was not perfect conditions.  It was cold and rainy, but in true fashion of a woman gifting this session to the parents of this baby, she endured the unpredictable Chicago weather so we could capture these few special moments.

I’m a few weeks behind on blogging, so I am happy to report that this sweet little child has made his arrival.  This beautiful little boy is happy, healthy, safe and sound.  Yvonne is home, recovering, and spending time with her husband and three sons (who undoubtedly will keep her busy all summer)!  I have a feeling that this beautiful woman will always have a special place in her heart for this little boy she carried.

All in all, this story and session is one that I will never forget.  I am proud to call this beautiful, soulful woman my friend. Keep scrolling to see for yourself the beauty that radiates from these images in their beautiful story.
